海盜隊韓籍強棒姜正浩敲出3支安打，包括轟出2分彈（本季第18轟），但海盜投手群壓不住紅人隊的攻勢，終場海盜7比8輸紅人，要打進季後賽的機會愈來愈小。
姜正浩自傷兵名單歸隊之後，打擊表現非常火熱，今天他1局下就敲出安打，打回1分，3局下轟2分彈，讓海盜隊取得4比0的領先，9局下再擊出他此戰的第3支安打，而姜正浩近5戰已經轟了4發紅不讓。
只是姜正浩的火熱表現，還是救不了海盜隊，先發投手Drew Hutchison只投4局失4分，Trevor Williams投1局失3分，吞敗投。紅人隊Joey Votto此戰打了4支安打，包括9局上的陽春砲（本季第23轟）。
海盜隊目前戰績69勝71敗，在國家聯盟中區排名第三，要以外卡資格進入季後賽的機會愈來愈小，紅人隊59勝82敗，在這一區敬陪末座。
